Who I am
I am a proud husky and alumna of the University of Connecticut with my BFA in Photography and Sculpture. In addition, I recently received my MAT in Art Education from Tufts University in affiliation with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Year two at OA and I couldn't be more excited!
In my artist life I am a working functional potter, passionately chasing a dream of making tableware for homes and restaurants. I am addicted to throwing pottery on the wheel and find myself at my studio in Brookline every free moment I get. I am a member of the Fort Point Arts Community Inc. in Boston, MA, and sell work at SoWA throughout the summer. |
Art is my outlet and my safespace. Throughout my life it has become a very therapeutic way of working through some of the difficult and heavy things I have confronted. Art also gives me the satisfaction of working with my hands and making something out of nothing. It is my place to get messy and loose myself for a little while.
I know my way around a darkroom, digital lab, ceramics studio, wood shop, and metal shop like the back of my hand. I firmly believe that film photography is still extremely important and should be taught forever and always. I will never turn down a good piece of pie. Paris will always have my heart. And I love pandas more than pretty much everything else in the world . |
